Marian women’s closes out season at Benedictine Spring Invite

Marian University women’s golf finished its season with a 338 to finish in a tie for third at the Benedictine Spring Invite.

  • Yinan Lu was able to crack the top 10 for the Sabres with an 81 to finish in ninth.
  • She had two birdies during her round.
  • Just two strokes behind Lu was Jessy Merrell who placed 11th with an 83.
  • Also recording a birdie during the round was Katelyn Bucciarelli who placed 17th with an 86.
  • Allison Cink closed out the scoring for Marian with an 88 to finish 29th, while Kadence Ulrich rounded out the lineup with a 99.
  • A second Marian team was led by Trinity Knudtson who had a round of 95.
  • Kaydence Harp and Hailie Knudtson finished one stroke apart at 100 and 101, respectively.
  • Taylor Schaefer, who competed as an individual had the next best score at 104.
  • Caroline Gates finished with a 112, while Samantha Gutzwiller had a 115 to finish out the Sabre golfers.
  • Aurroa won the event with a 319 led by a pair of golfers who tied for medalist honors at 75.
