Marian Women’s Bowling Well Represented on NTCA All-Academic Lists

Marian University women’s bowling earned a spot on the NTCA All-Academic Scholar Team list after boasting a team grade point average of 3.530.

To be eligible, programs must maintain a cumulative team grade point average of 3.2 or higher.  This year, a total of 61 programs met the distinguished standard.  Jackson State University had the highest grade point average at 3.777 followed by Merrimack College at 3.745.  Marian finished with the 21st highest grade point average.

The NTCA also released its All-Academic Scholar-Athlete honorees with nine Sabres making the list.  To earn this esteemed accolade, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.4 or higher throughout the academic year.  A total of 364 distinguished scholar-athletes were recognized from 75 different NCAA bowling programs.

Jenna Betts was the lone senior to earn recognition, while Jocelynn Eggert and Kylie Chandler represented the junior class.  A duo of sophomores earned recognition in Bella Walkowski and Elana Rimer. The Sabre women’s bowling program rounded out its honorees with four freshman; Abby GiddingsBrianna ClemonsDelanie Vogt, and Kylie Junak.
