Marian women’s bowling opens season at Midwest Collegiate Championship

Marian University women’s bowling recorded a two-day total of 8,013 to finish 17th at the Midwest Collegiate Championship.

  • Marian had a slow start to open its season finishing with 5,069 pins after six games of traditional play.
  • The Sabres had two games above 850 pins with a high of 933.
  • The Sabres bounced back in Baker play finishing with 2,944 pins, the sixth-highest in the tournament.
  • Marian had five games with more than 200 pins and a high game of 238 in the 13th game.
  • The Sabres opened Baker play with at least 200 in two of the first four games and had a stretch of three out of four games with at least 200 come between games 10-13.

Jocelynn Eggert led Marian in her first match as a Sabre averaging 182.7 for 50th.  Eggert posted a high game of 223.
Elana Rimer took 59th after averaging 181.3.  Rimer had at least 190 in three games with a high of 204.
Brenna Schiekiera averaged 160.2 over five games.  She had a high of 181.
