Marian women’s bowling finishes first half at Starrag Group Warhawk Open

Marian University women’s bowling closed out the first half of its season at the Starrag Group Warhawk Open, hosted by UW-Whitewater.

  • Marian was able to qualify for bracket play after finishing seventh with 7,917 pins.
  • The Sabres would take on second-seeded Davenport in the opening round of bracket play.
  • Marian was able to take the opening game 172-149.
  • Davenport bounced back, however, earning wins of 225-208 and 234-148 to eliminate the Sabres.

Jazmin Koeberl led all bowlers with a 201.3 average.  She had two games above 200 pins with a 243 coming in her sixth game.
Jenna Betts finished in 20th averaging 181.3 and had a high game of 223.
Jocelynn Eggert took 28th after averaging 174.7.  She posted a high game of 184.
