Marian University women’s bowling earned its sixth straight CCIW Championship after finishing conference play with a 10-2 record.
- Marian finished well above the rest of the field in both Baker and traditional action.
- The Sabres began with a 2-1 record in Baker format defeating Augustana (Ill.) and Elmhurst.
- The victory over the Blue Jays was by a 983-901 margin with the 983 being the highest total of any team.
- Marian closed out Baker play with 3,724 pins, first in the field, and five games with more than 200 pins.
- The Sabres then dominated in traditional play posting the three highest scores of any team in the field.
- The opening match saw Marian defeat Carroll 1,072 to 946 followed by wins over Aurora and Illinois Wesleyan.
- The traditional total for Marian settled at 3,013, 276 pins ahead of the next highest.
- Marian finished with 6,737 total pins, 334 more pins than second, with a 192.5 average.
- Marian finished 5-1 at both the fall and spring CCIW events to earn its sixth straight CCIW Championship.
- The Sabres will have the top seed at the CCIW Tournament March 20-22.
