Marian women’s bowling earns fifth straight CCIW Championship

Marian University women’s bowling earned its fifth straight CCIW Championship after going 5-1 at the second CCIW Meet of the season.

  • The Sabres opened with a perfect 4-0 mark in traditional play finishing with 3,636 pins, the most among the field. 
  • Marian had at least 940 pins in two of those games.
  • The Sabres then opened Baker play with a pair of victories before falling to Carroll in the final match of the event.
  • Marian also led the field in Baker format with 2,750 pins to finish with a total of 6,386 pins.
  • The average of 182.5 pins for the weekend put Marian as the lone school to average above 180.0.
  • Marian concludes the regular season of CCIW play 10-2 earning its fifth straight conference championship and the top seed for the CCIW Tournament.

Senior Brenna Schiekiera paced the field in traditional play finishing with a 203.0 average.  She closed out traditional play with games of 221 and 212.
Junior Kyley Olson placed ninth with an average of 180.25 and a high game of 224. 
Senior Jocelynn Eggert took 12th-place with an average of 177.0.  She had games of 205 and 200.
