Marian University women’s basketball received 131 points to finish 10th in the NACC preseason poll, as voted on by the head coaches and sports information professionals of the league.
Wisconsin Lutheran finished atop the poll once again receiving 384 total points and 21 first-place tallies. St. Norbert followed with 356 points and four of the first-place votes. Edgewood grabbed the final three first-place votes and finished third with 331 points. Aurora followed with 293 points and coming in fifth was MSOE at 273 points. Concordia Wisconsin and Benedictine closed out the final schools with more than 200 points at 260 and 218 points, respectively. Lakeland closed out the top eight receiving 198 points.
Concordia Chicago had 155 points followed by the Sabres at 131. Rockford finished just four points behind the Sabres, while Illinois Tech had an even 100 points. Dominican and Alverno finished the poll receiving 75 and 39 points, respectively.
The top eight teams in the regular season will qualify for the NACC Tournament with the winner of the postseason tournament earning the conference’s automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament.
