The Marian University women’s basketball program has earned a special mention through the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Honor Roll.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women’s basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined grade-point averages, inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2023-24 season is the 29th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
Marian received a special mention after posting a team grade point average of 3.391 for the 2023-24 academic year. The Sabres were one of only two institutions in the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) to earn recognition.
