Marian University women’s basketball (3-3, 1-0 NACC) never trailed defeating Dominican 78-52 in its first game of conference play.

- Marian jumped out quickly on the Stars scoring nine of the first 12 points of the game.
- The Sabres were able to build their lead to as large as 12 points and left the opening quarter ahead 22-13.
- The second quarter was a close affair but Marian managed to outscore Dominican 14-10 and went into halftime ahead 36-23.
- Marian maintained a 41-31 advantage to open the third quarter before the Sabres went on a 13-2 spurt to lead 54-33.
- The Sabres were able to go into the final stanza ahead 64-42.
- The fourth quarter played out similarly to the second with Marian outscoring the Stars 14-10 to put the final tally at 78-52.

- Marian finished 26-of-68 (.382) from the field and hit a season-high 12 triples shooting 12-of-29 (.414) from beyond the arc.
- Dominican shot 17-of-55 (.309) in the game and 9-of-22 (.409) from beyond the arc.
- The Sabres finished with a 51-34 edge in rebounds and outscored the Stars 17-2 in second-chance points.
- The Marian bench also played a large role in the win scoring 34 points.
- Marian is now 20-15 all-time against Dominican with wins in the last four match-ups.
