Marian volleyball announces summer camp offerings

Marian University volleyball has announced several camp offerings for the week of July 16-21.

Marian University volleyball camps are a great avenue for learning all the skills of volleyball and elevating student-athletes to the next level.  The Marian coaching staff and current student-athletes will be teaching and working directly with all campers. The skills will include hitting, serving, passing, setting, serve receive and blocking; all tailored for each age group. The positive and electric environment in the Sadoff Gymnasium is a perfect opportunity for student-athletes to grow their mental and physical side in volleyball. All camps will be held in the Sadoff Gymnasium and every camper will receive a Marian Volleyball Camp T-shirt.

The week kicks off with an overnight High School Boys Elite Camp Tuesday, July 16 and Wednesday, July 17 for kids entering ninth grade and up.  This camp is designed for student-athletes who want to advance themselves to the next level as volleyball players. It will focus on the different skills of volleyball, specific positional training, working towards 6-on-6 match-style play, and building good team sportsmanlike behaviors. These elite boys’ volleyball players can expect excellent direct knowledge from the Volleyball Program’s Coaching staff and current Men’s Volleyball players from Marian. The overnight camp allows the full experience of what it would be like to play volleyball in college, stay on campus in our freshman dorm and eat in our dining hall.  The cost for this camp is $302.50.

A two-day High School Girls Elite Camp follows for Thursday, July 18 and Friday, July 19 for kids entering ninth grade and up.  Each day of camp will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lunch included at no extra cost.  This camp will focus on the different skills of volleyball, specific positional training, working towards 6-on-6 match-style play, and building good team sportsmanship. These elite girls’ volleyball players can expect excellent direct knowledge from the current Marian coaching staff and student-athletes.  This camp costs $238.50.

Middle School All Skills Camp will be held Saturday, July 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for kids entering 6th to 8th grades.  Whether you are just starting out or have some volleyball knowledge, this is a great camp to enhance your fundamental skills of volleyball, learn teamwork, and build a strong work ethic in a fun and positive environment. Campers will work directly with the current Marian coaching staff and student-athletes.  Lunch is not included with this camp and will cost $132.50.  Parents are welcome to stay and watch the camp for as long as they please.

The Marian volleyball camp concludes with a Little Sabres Camp Sunday, July 21 for kids entering kindergarten to 5th grade from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Whether you are just starting out or have some volleyball knowledge, this is a great camp to enhance your fundamental skills of volleyball, learn teamwork, and build a strong work ethic in a fun and positive environment. Campers will work directly with the current Marian coaching staff and student-athletes.  Lunch is not included with this camp and will cost $132.50.  Parents are welcome to stay and watch the camp for as long as they please.
