Marian University to Host the 17th Annual Academic Symposium, Work: A Small but Mighty Word

Marian University will host the 17th annual Academic Symposium, Work: A Small but Mighty Word, on March 12 – 13, 2024 on the campus located at 45 S. National Avenue in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Life significantly revolves around work. It can be a calling, or it can be punishment, not life giving. The magnitude of this simple four-letter word helps create identity and self-worth, assists in establishing societal norms and expectations, designs laws to regulate workplace, fairness and safety, and throughout history has shaped human culture.

The symposium will kick off with an evening panel – The Declining Workforce:  The Pain of Shortage and What Employers Can do to Address the Decline – on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. in the Stayer Center Auditorium. On Wednesday, attendees can attend breakout sessions from 8:00 a.m. – 3:50 p.m.

Those who pre-register can enjoy a complimentary lunch before the noon session on Wednesday.
