Marian University track and field continued its outdoor season at the UW-Oshkosh Invite, with six student-athletes competing across seven events.
WOMEN
- Sophomore Jude Al Taie jumped a personal best of 4.09 meters (13-5) in the long jump, besting her previous mark of 4.05 meters set during the indoor season. This mark moves her to fourth all-time in school history in the outdoor long jump and marks her third consecutive meet with a personal best. Al Taie also competed in the 200 meters, running a time of 33.11 seconds.
- Sophomore Grace Blauert placed ninth in the pole vault with a collegiate outdoor best of 3.08 meters (10-1.25). She cleared 2.93 meters on her second attempt and 3.08 meters on her first before bowing out at 3.23 meters. The mark ties her collegiate best, set at Ripon on February 14.
- Freshman Charlotte Touw ran a time of 3:07.08 in the 800 meters, opening on pace for a personal best before positive splitting on the second lap. The effort follows her career-best 800 meters last meet at St. Norbert.
MEN
- Freshman Nick Gattuso made his collegiate track and field debut, placing 16th in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:54.57. He finished sixth in his heat and held position throughout the race, splitting around 80 seconds per lap. Gattuso competed for Leyden High School in Franklin Park, Illinois, running the 100, 200, and 300 hurdles and competing in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump, but this marked his first distance event.
- Senior Matthew Linn advanced to the finals in shot put with a throw of 12.80 meters (42-0). In the finals, he placed ninth with a best throw of 12.35 meters (40-6.25). Linn also competed in discus for the second consecutive meet, placing 14th with a throw of 36.11 meters (118-5).
- Senior Jackson Shultis competed in the discus for the first time in his career, recording a mark of 14.22 meters (46-8) on his first throw of the day. He also placed 22nd in the shot put with a throw of 6.20 meters (20-4.5), just shy of his outdoor personal best from last meet.
