Marian University track and field competed in its first meet under new head coach Riley Huffman at the Dick Hendricks Invite.
WOMEN
- Sophomore Grace Blauert had a strong debut for Marian, clearing 3.10 meters to place seventh in the pole vault. The performance marked her first track-and-field competition since her senior year of high school in 2021.
- Sophomore Jude Al Taie opened her season with a 3.40-meter long jump, improving on her lone attempt last year as a freshman, when she did not record a mark.
MEN
- Senior Matthew Linn shattered his Marian indoor shot put record, improving from 12.44 meters to 13.06 meters, earning an eighth-place finish and the lone point for the men.
- Senior Jackson Shultis competed in the shot put, recording a personal best of 6.40 meters.
- Freshman Malik Holmes made his college debut, posting times of 7.99 in the 60-meter dash and 28.64 in the 200 meters.
