Marian University softball (16-18, 8-12 NACC) opened its final homestand of the season defeating Ripon 5-2 and 9-1 in six innings.

GAME 1
- Ripon jumped out early scoring a run in the first inning.
- The Red Hawk lead held until the third when Marian put up four runs.
- Four different Sabres would drive in a run in the inning as Marian was able to take advantage of a Ripon error.
- A run-producing ground out from sophomore Ariana Schliepp in the sixth provided insurance as Marian built a 5-1 lead.
- Ripon was able to make things interesting in the seventh bringing the tying run to the plate, but Marian was able to hold off the late rally.
GAME 2
- Marian wasted no time opening the scoring in game two bringing home seven runs in the first inning, four being unearned.
- Sophomore Hope Matta had the big hit of the inning driving in two runs with a double to left center field.
- A run-producing single from freshman Savanna Knuth in the second saw Marian extend its lead to 8-0.
- The Red Hawks would use an error to plate a run in the third and only trail 8-1.
- This score held until the sixth when senior Sophia Albrecht and sophomore Abigail Schreiber hit back-to-back doubles to induce the mercy-rule.
