Marian University softball received 207 total points to finish sixth in the NACC preseason poll, as voted on by the head coaches and athletic communication professionals of the league.
Five different institutions earned at least one first-place vote in a highly-competitive poll. Concordia Wisconsin was picked as the heavy favorite tallying 321 total points with 18 first-place votes. Aurora and MSOE were separated by just one point with the Spartans grabbing a first-place vote and the Raiders a pair of first-place tallies. Dominican received the second most first-place votes with four and finished in fourth at 277 points. Benedictine grabbed the final first-place vote and tallied 251 total points.
Marian was the final team to finish above 200 points and finished sixth with 207 points. Edgewood followed the Sabres at 173 followed by Lakeland and Concordia Chicago who were separated by just three points. St. Norbert was the final school with more than 100 points at 115 followed by WLC at 80. Rockford and Alverno rounded out the preseason poll, respectively.

Marian opens the season Sunday, March 3 taking on Regis and Westminster (Penn.) to open THE Spring Games.
