Marian University softball (22-18, 12-12 NACC) closed out the regular season with wins of 14-2 in five innings and 10-6 over Lawrence.

GAME 1
- The first inning of the game began April 1 in De Pere, Wis. with Marian leading 3-2.
- The return to Lawrence to finish the game was a dominating final four innings for the Sabres.
- A bases-loaded walk in the second put Marian ahead 4-2 before the Sabres scored three runs in the fourth and seven more in the fifth.
- Freshmen Erin Cowe and Savanna Knuth drove in a run with a base hit in the fourth.
- Sophomore Alexa Paulsberg then hit her first home run as a Sabre, a three-run shot to highlight the fifth inning.
GAME 2
- Marian had a solid start in game two with freshman Mackenzie Christofferson and sophomore Ariana Schliepp driving in a run each to put Marian ahead 3-0 after five innings.
- A five-run fifth inning from Lawrence gave the Vikings a 5-3 advantage.
- This lead didn’t last long, however, as Marian quickly scored four runs in the sixth inning.
- Knuth opened the frame with a double that brought in a run.
- Sophomore Hope Matta and senior Katelyn Matenaer would also drive in a run to give Marian. 7-5 advantage.
- The Sabres were able to pull away with sophomore Sofia Cerullo and Cowe each hitting a double to put the Sabres ahead 10-5.
- A Viking run in the seventh would put the final score at 10-6.
- The sweep gave Head Coach Tony Draves his 200th vicotry at the helm of the Sabre softball program.
