Marian University softball (18-16, 13-7 NACC) clinched a spot in the NACC Tournament after splitting with Edgewood.

GAME 1
- The Sabres started strong with junior Sofia Cerullo driving in a run in the second and senior Kendall Pliner bringing home another in the third.
- The Eagles then scored eight unanswered runs between the fourth and sixth inning.
- The big blow was a two-out grand slam in the fifth inning that gave Edgewood the lead for good.
- Marian managed just two hits over the final three innings to put the final at 8-2.
GAME 2
- Another home run for Edgewood in the fourth gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
- The lead didn’t last long as Marian tied the game with a single from senior Kerena Wood followed by a first-and-third run down that put the Sabres ahead 2-1.
- A run-producing single from Pliner in the fifth padded the Marian lead to 3-1.
- The Eagles were able to put the tying run on base in the seventh but sophomore Sabrina Di Vito was able to shut the door for her second save of the year.
- Marian is now 55-40 all-time against Edgewood.
- The split earns Marian a spot in the NACC Tournament for the third consecutive season.
