The Marian University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) collected 2,158 canned goods to finish second in the annual NACC Cans Across the Conference community service competition.
In total, the conference collected 8,418 canned goods and $1,692 from seven institutions that were donated to local communities. Aurora paced the NACC collecting 2,854 canned goods and $907. Each sport in the Sabre athletic department collected at least 10 canned goods. Along with the canned donations, Marian SAAC donated labeled bags that will be distributed during the holidays. All canned donations were donated to the Fond du Lac food pantry. The 2,854 donated canned goods is the most for Marian in the annual community service competition since 2019.
