Marian University men’s volleyball (6-16, 2-8 NACC) opened its final homestand of the season falling to Dominican, who is receiving votes in the national poll, 25-12, 25-18, 25-20.
- Marian trailed 11-7 to open the match before Dominican pulled away with a 10-2 spurt.
- The second set was similar but this time Marian had a 7-6 lead to open.
- Dominican then scored the next four points to take the lead.
- Marian stayed tight and only trailed 16-14 before the Stars scored the next five points to pull away.
- The Stars opened the third set with a 10-1 lead but Marian was able to show fight late.
- The Sabres trailed 22-15 before scoring five straight points to only trail by two.
- Two kills and a service ace from the Stars put the match to a close, however.
- Dominican held a 41-25 edge for kills and a 39-29 advantage for digs.
- The Stars had at least 12 kills in each set and finished with a .341 attack percentage.
- Dominican has won the last 11 meetings.
