Marian University men’s soccer (1-1-1, 0-0-0 NACC) drew even 1-1 with UW-Whitewater in its first home game of the season.

- The opening half was controlled by UW-Whitewater as the Sabres were unable to register a shot.
- The second half was a much tighter affair with even play back-and-forth.
- The Sabres were able to strike first in transition when sophomore Connor Sanderfoot sent a ball to the outer markings of the box and freshman Micah Boyer headed the ball perfectly into the upper corner.
- The goal was his first goal as a Sabre and came in the 77th minute.
- The Sabre lead didn’t last long as UWW found an equalizer just 3:52 later off of a corner kick.
- There would be just one more shot on goal from the Warhawks the rest of the way leading to the draw.

- Marian was outshot 24-5 for the game and 13-3 for shots on goal with all five Marian shots coming in the second half.
- UW-Whitewater also held a hefty advantage on corner kicks by a 14-2 margin.
- Marian committed 23 fouls with two yellow cards and UWW had 17 fouls with three yellow cards.
- The draw is the first result for Marian against UW-Whitewater since 2001 and just the third result in 18 games all-time.
