Marian Men’s Soccer Salvages Draw with Lawrence in Wild Finish

Marian University men’s soccer (1-1-2, 0-0-0 NACC) allowed a goal and scored a goal in the final minute to earn a draw with Lawrence.

  • Lawrence controlled play in the opening half but Marian was able to take advantage of its opportunities.
  • Freshman JT Sus was able to find the back of the net in the 19th minute for the only score of the opening half.
  • Lawrence was able to find its equalizer in the 69th minute and took the lead with just 27 seconds remaining.
  • Sophomore Hudson Shenk proved to be the hero for the Sabres scoring the game-tying goal with just six ticks left on the clock.
  • The goal was the first of his career.
