Marian University men’s soccer (3-11-5, 2-8-2 NACC) closed out the season with a 2-2 draw against UW-Stevens Point from a rainy and windy Smith Field.
 

• Marian controlled play early and was able to strike just 2:57 in when freshman Micah Boyer scored his fifth of the season with an assist from fellow freshman Mason Radulski.
• The Pointers built momentum midway through the opening half and knotted the game in the 33rd minute.
• UWSP then took the lead heading into halftime scoring with just 31 seconds left.
• The Pointer lead didn’t last long, however, as Marian found an equalizer just 1:20 into the second stanza.
• Junior Nathan Blazenko was the goal scorer for Marian striking for his fifth of the season.
• Quality opportunities were at a premium for the remainder of the game leading to the 2-2 tie.

• Marian was outshot 15-9 for the game and 5-3 for shots on goal.
• Each team had six shots in the second half.
• The Sabres had an advantage for corner kicks at a 5-4 clip.
• Marian had 14 fouls and two yellow cards, while UWSP had 10 fouls and a yellow card.
• This was the first meeting between the two programs.
• The five ties is the most for a single season in Marian men’s soccer history.

	Junior Nathan Blazenko scored the game-tying goal, his fifth of the season.
	Freshman Micah Boyer scored his fifth goal of the season to open the scoring.
	Junior Nathan Espinosa made two saves and didn’t allow a goal in 34:28 of action.
