Marian University men’s soccer (2-1-0, 0-0-0 NACC) defeated Beloit 3-2 to wrap up the non-conference schedule.

- Marian needed just 1:48 to score with senior Giuliano Corazzina finding the back of the net for his second goal of the year. Freshman Robert Larson was able to create a breakaway opportunity for Corazzina to earn an assist.
- Beloit was able to answer with a breakaway of its own evening the score in the 27th minute.
- This 1-1 score stood in the second half with the Sabres managing to turn away several opportunities for Beloit.
- Senior Drew Cowden was able to draw a penalty in the box at the 69:13 mark. Senior Logan Holevas took advantage burying his second penalty shot in as many games to put Marian ahead 2-1.
- The Buccaneers had a response at the 76:05 mark quickly tying the game.
- The knotted score didn’t last long, however, as just 2:29 later sophomore Nathan Blazenko was able to push the ball across the line off of a corner from Holevas as Marian retook the lead.
- The Sabre defense was able to clamp down the final minutes, including 9:14 of action down a man, to seal the win.

- Beloit held a 12-10 advantage for shots but Marian had more shots on goal by a 5-4 margin.
- With his goal, Corazzina is now tied for fifth all-time for goals scored at Marian.
- Marian now has a six-game unbeaten streak against Beloit.
