Marian men’s soccer battles in loss to Dominican

Marian University men’s soccer (2-4-1, 0-2-0 NACC) took the lead early in the second half, but was followed by two scores from Dominican, leading to a 2-1 defeat.

  • Senior Vince Sanchez opened up the scoring with a goal at 50:29 off the assist from senior Nathan Blazenko.
  • Three minutes later, Dominican responded with a penalty kick goal from Ryan Gutierrez. 
  • After nearly thirty minutes, Dominican took a late lead with a goal from Jonathan Almaguer at 81:43.
  • Marian only managed one shot in the final twenty minutes, falling by a score of 2-1.
