Marian University NCAA men’s hockey (3-7-0, 2-5-0-0 NCHA) was defeated 4-1 to open a series at No. 15 Trine.

- The two squads combined for 17 penalties with Marian going scoreless on four power-play chances and Trine scoring once on five chances.
- Trine held a 40-33 advantage in the face-off circle.
