Marian men’s golf opens new campaign

Marian University men’s golf had a 323 in each round of the Culver’s Edgewood Fall Invitational to finish 17th.

  • Competing as an individual, Brendan Bottem led the way behind rounds of 79 and 73.
  • Wyatt Pfeiffer had a solid bounce-back 74 to lead the way for the main Sabre squad with a 156.
  • Also competing as an individual, Brett Ramme had rounds of 80 and 79 to finish third on the team.
  • Tyler Bunkoske had the lowest round for Marian in the opening round with a 78 and finished with an 83 in the second.
  • The final three Sabres showed consistency in each round with Tyler McArthur finishing at 163, Jackson Blaine at 165, and Ben Wilson at 168.
  • Dubuque won the event by 12 strokes finishing four-under-par as a team and were led by John Dobbe who was the medalist after going 10-under-par.
