Marian men’s golf finishes sixth at NACC Championship

Marian University men’s golf had rounds of 318, 323, and 315 to place sixth at the NACC Championship.

  • Wyatt Pfeiffer finished 10-over-par to finish tied for eighth and become the first Sabre since the 2020-21 season to earn All-NACC honors.
  • Pfeiffer had six birdies and an eagle between the three rounds with a two-over-par 74 in the second as his best round.
  • He was also able to post an even-par back nine in his final round.
  • Tyler Bunkoske finished in a tie for 22nd at 240 with rounds of 80, 84, and 76.
  • Only three strokes behind him was Ben Wilson who scored in all three rounds with a 79, 83, and 81.
  • After a tough opening round, Jackson Blaine was able to card rounds of 82 and 81.
  • Brendan Bottem and Brett Ramme finished within a stroke of each other at 257 and 258, respectively, to round out the Marian lineup.
  • Tyler Jones and his coaching staff were named the NACC Co-Coaching Staff of the Year award becoming the first coach to earn the award since the 2012-13 season.
  • Aurora won the event with a team score of 877 behind Jackson Hulsey who was the medalist at one-over-par.
