Marian men’s golf finishes fourth at Clarke Fall Classic

Marian University men’s golf finished with rounds of 334 and 340 to finish fourth at the Clarke Fall Classic.

  • The Sabres tied their second-best round of the season with a 334 in the opening round.  The 340 second round serves as the fourth-best round on the season for Marian.
  • Jake Mooring finished in a tie for 11th after rounds of 84 and 81.  His second round score of 81 was the lowest round of any Sabre for the event.
  • Jackson Blaine led Marian in the opening round with an 82 and finished the event in a tie for 16th after an 87 in the second round.
  • Only two shots off the pace of Blaine was Davis Wilson, who had rounds of 87 and 84, and Brett Ramme, who carded rounds of 83 and 88.  They each finished in a tie for 18th place.
  • Wheaton won the team title with a 626 after carding a 307 in the second round.  Jacob Luett of Clarke had a 73 in each round to earn medalist recognition.
