Marian University men’s bowling opened its season with a sixth-place finish at the Hammer Golden Eagle Invite.

- The Sabres opened the event in seventh with a traditional score of 4,910, 982.0 average.
- Marian finished with at least 929 in all five games with a high core of 1,084 in the fourth game.
- Baker format saw Marian move up in the standings posting the second-best Baker score at 3,367 pins, 210.4 average.
- Marian had at least 200 pins in nine of the 16 games and finished the format with more than 200 pins in seven of the final nine games.
- This earned the Sabres a spot in bracket play as the No. 6 seed where they were eliminated by Rock Valley in the opening round 212-195 and 207-193.
- St. Ambrose was the top-seed and swept its way to win the tournament without dropping a single game in bracket play.
- A varsity-reserve squad also competed for Marian and finished 11th in the varsity-reserve division after a traditional score of 4,257 and Baker score of 2,601.
