Marian University men’s basketball (5-20, 5-13 NACC) defeated St. Norbert 63-60 to close out its season.

- Marian led for 38:04 of the game and was able to rally late to finish the season with a victory.
- The Sabres were able to quickly jump ahead to a 13-2 lead and didn’t miss a shot for the first 7:48 of the game.
- St. Norbert responded using a 12-1 run to quickly tie the game at 14-14.
- The momentum shift ended their as the Sabres would score 10 unanswered to build its lead back out to 24-14 with 4:15 in the half.
- The Green Knights cut into this deficit and trailed by five before a three-pointer at the buzzer from junior JeanLuc Wilson gave the Sabres a 29-21 lead at the break.
- The buzzer beater gave Marian momentum and opened the second half with a quick 5-2 run that built the Sabre lead to 11.
- The Sabres kept its lead for nearly the entirety of the second half with St. Norbert chipping its deficit down to just one on four occasions.
- Marian found itself ahead 59-56 with 2:46 to play before SNC struck for a quick four unanswered to take its first lead of the game at 60-59 with 40 ticks left.
- The next possession saw senior Tavaris McCullough draw a foul and sink two free throws to put Marian ahead 61-60 with 20 seconds left.
- St. Norbert then missed a pair of free throws and a second-chance jumper with six seconds left.
- Freshman Gavin Jahns would sink two free throws to seal the win with just 1.8 seconds left.

- Marian shot 22-of-46 (.478) for the game but just 7-of-26 (.269) on three-pointers.
- St. Norbert finished 22-of-47 (.468) and was limited to 3-of-15 (.200) on triples.
- The charity stripe played a major factor as Marian was 12-of-15 (.800) and SNC just 13-of-23 (.565)
- The Green Knights had a 19-11 advantage in points off turnovers and 36-26 edge in points in the paint.
- Marian and SNC have now split the last four match-ups in the all-time series.
