Marian University men’s basketball (4-0, 0-0 NACC) defeated Beloit 63-59 to stay undefeated and continue the best known start in program history.

- Marian was able to get out to a strong start taking an 11-5 lead to force a Beloit timeout.
- The Buccaneers bounced back and after back-to-back triples managed to lead 22-17 with 9:32 on the clock.
- Beloit led for the remainder of the half and went into the locker room ahead 38-31.
- The Sabres kept pace and only trailed 42-37 with 15:16 left before Beloit went on a quick 6-1 spurt to build an 11-point lead.
- Marian quickly erased that deficit with 11 unanswered points to tie the game with 9:13 to play.
- A layup from senior Mahlik Hall put Marian ahead 55-44 with 5:21 left to play, a lead the Sabres would not relinquish.
- The Sabres and Buccaneers went back-and-forth over the final minutes and Beloit found themselves down three with 19 seconds remaining.
- A block on a three-point attempt with six ticks left from sophomore Jack Field helped seal the Marian comeback win.

- The Sabres went 22-of-54 (.407) from the field but shot just 2-of-15 (.133) from beyond the arc.
- Beloit finished 18-of-48 (.375) and 5-of-18 (.278) on three-point attempts.
- The Marian defense had another strong game forcing 20 turnovers and outscoring the Buccaneers 18-9 in points off turnovers.
- The Sabres also held a 38-22 advantage for points in the paint outscoring Beloit 22-10 in the second half.
- Marian is now 6-10 all-time against Beloit and have won the last two meetings.
