Marian University men’s basketball (1-12, 1-6 NACC) never trailed in a 53-48 win over Edgewood in NACC play.

- Marian jumped out all over Edgewood opening the game with a 12-2 run.
- The Sabres had their lead cut down to six before a timeout guided Marian to another 9-2 run and a 21-8 advantage.
- Marian led 26-14 before the Eagles scored nine unanswered points to only trail by three with 3:14 on the clock.
- The Sabres battled the momentum shift finishing the half with a 30-23 lead after four unanswered points.
- Both squads went back-and-forth to start the second half with Marian leading by at least five through the opening minutes.
- A quick five unanswered points saw Marian lead 46-35 with 6:54 for the largest lead in the second half.
- After trailing 49-39, Edgewood made things interesting with a 9-3 spurt to only trail by four with 2:01 left to play.
- Both defenses picked it up over the final minutes with a Marian free throw being the only point scored to put the final at 53-48.

- Marian went 19-of-60 (.317) for the game and 5-of-14 (.357) from beyond the arc.
- Edgewood shot 16-of-44 (.364) in the losing effort and 5-of-21 on three-pointers.
- The Sabre defense was able to force 21 Eagle turnovers and Marian finished with a 22-10 advantage in points off turnovers.
- Marian also had a slim advantage in the paint by a margin of 20-16.
