Marian University men’s basketball (10-8, 6-5 NACC) finished non-conference play with a 75-57 win over Maranatha Baptist.

  • It took a little while for both offenses to find a groove as the two squads combined for only 11 points through the first 6:34 of action.
  • A 15-5 run for the Sabres, sparked by seven points from junior Andrew Ayeni, gave Marian a 21-10 lead with 8:26 left in the first half.
  • Marian maintained a comfortable double-digit lead for most of the remainder of the half.
  • A steal and layup from freshman Marvin Haslett in the final seconds put the Sabres ahead 34-21 at the break.
