Marian University flag football (0-1, 0-0 NACC) dropped its inaugural game to Purdue Northwest, 25-6.
- On the opening drive, sophomore Emily Eastham intercepted a Pride pass on 4th-and-3, giving the Sabres possession at midfield.
- Freshman Holly Goodwin added an interception on Marian’s next defensive series.
- Goodwin connected with fellow freshman Kendall Graves for a nine-yard touchdown, giving Marian a 6-0 lead and the first score in program history.
- Pride quarterback Marilyn Myrick scrambled for a 42-yard gain late in the first half, setting up a touchdown as time expired, sending the teams into the break tied 6-6.
- Purdue Northwest took their first lead of the game early in the second half on a 22-yard interception return for a score.
- Marian put together a ten-play drive midway through the third quarter, but were unable to translate it into any points.
- The Pride scored three second-half touchdowns to shut out the Sabres, totaling 18 points.
