Marian University field hockey (9-5, 2-2 CFHC) held off a late push to defeat Sewanee 2-1 to end its trip to Tennessee.
- As has been the trend this season, Marian was able to use a strong fourth quarter and defensive performance to win a nail biter.
- The opening quarter saw plenty of action for both sides but neither side was able to score.
- After a quiet second quarter, Sewanee had a strong start to the third but Marian settled in to keep the game scoreless.
