Marian field hockey earns second overtime win to stay perfect

Marian University field hockey (6-0, 0-0 CFHC) stayed perfect on the year with a 2-1 overtime win at Nazareth.

  • Marian dominated in shots for the first half but couldn’t find the back of the cage leading to a scoreless halftime tally.
  • With just 3:42 left in the third quarter, senior Jikke Biemans was able to end the scoreless stalemate and put Marian ahead 1-0.
  • The Golden Flyers waited until the final seconds to even the score and force overtime.
  • In the second overtime game of the season, freshman Charlotte Touw once again provided the game-winner at the 66:33 mark off of a penalty corner from fellow freshman Shaelyn Klassen.
