Marian University field hockey (5-5, 1-1 CFHC) allowed a goal with just 1:03 left to play in a 1-0 loss to Sewanee in non-conference action.

- Marian was able to get out to a quick start in the opening quarter but after an evenly matched second quarter, the squads went into halftime scoreless.
- Sewanee was able to come out strong in the third quarter but Marian was able to hold the Tigers off the scoreboard.
- It wouldn’t be until 1:03 remained that Sewanee would score on a penalty corner to break the scoreless stalemate.

- Marian was outshot 18-13 for the game and 9-5 for shots on goal.
- The Tigers narrowly edged the Sabres in penalty corners by a 10-7 margin.
- Each team had 42 fouls with Marian being carded twice and Sewanee once.
- This is the first win for Sewanee over Marian in five games.
