Marian University field hockey (3-0, 0-0 CFHC) netted the only goal of the game 2:07 into overtime to defeat Kenyon 1-0.
 

• A fast start for the Sabres saw Marian hold Kenyon to without a shot in the opening quarter.
• The Owls outshot Marian by a shot in the second at 4-3 but still neither side was able to find the scoreboard.
• Both offenses came to life in the second half as the two squads combined for 18 shots but the game was destined for overtime.
• Marian was turned away on a penalty corner in the first minute of overtime.
• Freshman Charlotte Touw was finally able to end the scoreless drought with her second goal of the season 2:07 into the extra session.

• Marian held an 18-12 advantage for shots in the game and had a 10-5 edge for shots on goal.
• Each team had plenty of penalty-corner chances with Marian having 12 and the Owls eight.
• This was the first win for Marian over Kenyon in two meetings.
• This is the first overtime win for Marian.
