Imagine having the power to protect people from financial ruin, save businesses from economic calamity and help communities recover from significant disasters. No superhero cape necessary. This is what students at Marian University of Wisconsin can look forward to, with Marian’s new Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management and Insurance.
The new Risk Management Major continues Marian’s trend of launching new, innovative majors with a high market-demand. This announcement follows closely on the heels of Marian’s recently introduced Construction Management Major. Students may start classes towards both majors this fall.
“Once students learn all that Risk Management and Insurance has to offer, it will be hugely popular,” said Jessica Little, Program Director for Risk Management and Insurance at Marian. “Risk Management is a career that is in high demand and recession-proof.”
Students will explore areas including Property-Liability Insurance, Financial Management, Methods of Assessing and Managing Risk, Employee Benefit Plans, Ethical Decision Making, and Insurance Law. Michelle Majewski, President of Marian University, says the new major will appeal to students’ desire to good.
