Marian baseball opens trip to Illinois against Millikin

Marian University baseball (5-5, 0-0 NACC) returned to the Midwest falling to Millikin, who is receiving votes in the national poll, 12-2 in seven innings.

  • Millikin started the scoring for the game plating a run in the bottom of the first.  
  • That lead held until the fourth when junior Keon Booker hit a two-out, two-run home run to put Marian ahead 2-1.
  • The Sabres held this lead until the Big Blue broke it open with seven runs in the bottom of the fifth.
  • Millikin was able to end the game early with four runs in the bottom of the seventh.
