Marian University baseball (22-14, 15-7 NACC) opened the final week of NACC play with an 11-0 and 15-4 wins over Lakeland in seven innings.

GAME 1
- Marian jumped out early on the Muskies with graduate student Dylan Pease and senior Riley Palmquist each driving in a run in the first.
- A double steal followed by a run-producing single from junior James Bornick in the second put the Sabres ahead 4-0.
- Marian was able to break the game open in the fifth scoring seven runs.
- Seniors Tyler Blum and Logan Rademan each had a double in the frame.
- This was more than plenty enough for junior Riley Richard (7-1) who pitched his first shutout of the season.
GAME 2
- Lakeland scored its first run with a two-out double in the first inning.
- Senior Robbie Knorr then answered with a two-out single of his own to put the score at 1-1.
- Marian then had a big third inning plating five runs to take a 6-1 lead.
- Five different Sabres drove in a run in the inning capped by a single from senior Albert Kiszka.
- The Muskies immediately responded with a run in the top of the fourth only for Marian to score twice in its half of the fourth.
- Singles from Knorr and junior Gus Walker would put the Sabres ahead 8-2 after four innings.
- Marian would add on three runs in the fifth opening with a triple that brought home a run from junior Jacob Kleemann, his second triple of the game.
- A three-run sixth then put the Sabres ahead 15-2.
- Bornick capped off the rally with a double that scored two.
- Lakeland would plate a pair of runs in the seventh but Marian would earn the mercy-rule win.
- The Sabres scored at least one run in all but one of the six innings.
