Marian baseball announces information for annual Holiday Camps

Marian University baseball has announced it will host its annual Holiday Camps Friday, December 26.

The day kicks off with the first of two Holiday Hitters sessions for ages 5-10 from 9 to 11 a.m.  The Holiday Pitchers Camp follows from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. for ages 8-18.  The final camp session of the day features the second segment of Holiday Hitters for ages 11-18 from 1 to 3 p.m.  The cost to attend a Holiday Hitters session is $60 and the Holiday Pitchers is $50.

Campers should bring their own glove, bat, and athletic shoes that can be worn on indoor turf.   Both camps will be staffed by the current Marian baseball coaching staff along with student-athletes.  The hitting camps will feature drill work along with individual guidance from the staff.  Campers can expect to be introduced to a variety of new drills that can be practiced year round.  The hitting camps will feature aspects of hitting, team offense, bunting, and mental aspects of hitting.  The pitching camps will place an emphasis on throwing mechanics to help improve arm strength, pitching mechanics, and overall pitching abilities.  Pitchers will receive instructions on mechanics, grips, holding runners, and fielding.

The full brochure for the camps can be found HERE with online registration available at tinyurl.com/MarianBSBHoliday.
