Alicia completed her associate degree at UW-Fond du Lac in 2013, furthering her education with a bachelor’s degree in Human Services Leadership from UW-Oshkosh in 2015. Over the past 11 years, she has dedicated herself to the nonprofit sector, assuming various roles that have honed her skills in strategic planning, leadership training, and fundraising.
Notably, Alicia’s commitment to holistic wellness, as a certified Reiki Master and SEVA Acupressure practitioner, aligns seamlessly with Mahala’s Hope’s mission to promote healing and recovery through nature-based solutions. Her volunteer work with Free SPIRIT Riders, Inc. from 2013 to 2016, where she witnessed the transformative power of equine therapy, underscores her passion for innovative therapeutic approaches.
On her new role, Alicia expressed, “Joining Mahala’s Hope feels like coming home. I am profoundly aligned with its mission and am excited to leverage my skills and experiences to further our impact on the community. I believe in the power of holistic healing and am eager to contribute to the lives of those we serve.”
Outside of her professional endeavors, Alicia enjoys a rich personal life with her husband, Paul, her son, Jared, and her dog, Porter. She is an avid camper, traveler, horseback rider, and crafter, embodying the balanced lifestyle Mahala’s Hope advocates for its community.
The Board of Directors and the team at Mahala’s Hope warmly welcomed Alicia to the family. Her visionary leadership and deep commitment to service are invaluable assets as we continue to support and empower women on their journey to recovery.
