Learn to invest better from local expert during Aug. 11 program at the Fond du Lac Public Library

Interested in getting into investing but don’t know where to start? Looking for tips to make your money work harder for you?

Join the Fond du Lac Public Library and James Taylor from Ledgevest Financial for a program that will help you become more financially fit.

On Monday, Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. in the library’s McLane Room, Taylor will offer an introduction to investing and tips for how to improve your investment strategy. The program will cover why it’s important to invest, how to set your goals for investing, different ways to invest (such as stocks vs. bonds), and will include helpful advice for all investors.

The evening also will include a fun financial trivia game. Answer correctly with information from Taylor’s presentation for a chance to win one of several prize baskets from area businesses such as Horicon Bank, Riviera Maya, and Noodles and Company.

Participants also may stick around for a chance to test what you have learned with the Investopedia investment simulator.

Parents are encouraged to attend; childcare will be available in the library’s Discovery Room.
