Learn more about 160 years of Zacherl Funeral Home during History at Home

Zacherl Funeral Home has been serving the Fond du Lac area since the 1860s. Learn more about that history during the Fond du Lac Public Library’s History at Home program, set for Thursday, June 17 at 6 p.m. on Facebook Live. Watch at facebook.com/FDLPL

Zacherl Funeral Home has been serving the Fond du Lac area since George Zacherl opened the business here in the 1860s. During June’s History at Home presentation, learn how their business and the industry has changed over those 160 years. During the June 17 program at 6 p.m., hear how six generations of his family have continued the tradition, as well as background on what was happening within the funeral industry at the time.

History at Home focuses on stories about the area’s past every third Thursday of the month. The programs are free. Many History at Home programs are captured on video and shared on the library’s YouTube channel. That link can be found at fdlpl.org/miss-program.
