Donald G. Jones Leadership Alumni Award

The Donald G. Jones Leadership Alumni Award was created in 2001 and is appropriately named for the former area businessman who played a major role in founding and supporting the Leadership Fond du Lac County Program as well as his involvement and leadership in the community.  The purpose of the award is to recognize a past graduate of the Leadership Fond du Lac County Program for the effort they have put forth in helping improve their community through volunteer service and through the utilization of their leadership abilities.

To be considered for this award, individuals must be an alumnus of Leadership Fond du Lac County, be involved in activities within the county, and be nominated. Nominees are reviewed by the Leadership Fond du Lac County Alumni Committee and a winner is decided.

The Leadership Fond du Lac program was really just the nudge I needed to expand my role in my community. Remember, there’s always an opportunity to make new connections – embrace them, share them with others. Promote the Leadership Fond du Lac program whenever you can and together, as alums, we can continue to make Fond du Lac area communities and beyond a better place for people to live, work, and play.” – Sherry Behnke, 2023 Award Winner
