Late surge by Cornell sinks Marian men’s lacrosse

Marian University men’s lacrosse (0-2, 0-0 NACC) led at halftime, but Cornell used an 8-0 second half to pull away, winning 10-4.

  • Sophomore Alex Coscarart scored the first goal of his Marian career to give the Sabres their first lead of the night early in the second quarter.
  • Four minutes later, Cornell responded with a man-up goal, tying the score at 2-2.
  • Lund and sophomore Benett Luke each scored in the final three minutes to give Marian a 4-2 lead heading into halftime. 
  • Cornell dominated the third quarter, converting six of eight shots on goal into scores.
