Krolak, Vassilakis lead Marian men’s basketball past Illinois Tech

Senior Alex Vassilakis had 19 points and 11 rebounds, while sophomore Harper Krolak added 11 points and 11 assists as Marian University men’s basketball (9-8, 6-5 NACC) cruised to a 79-52 win over Illinois Tech.

  • Marian’s first four field goals were all three-pointers, including two from Vassilakis. 
  • Vassilakis pulled down six rebounds in the opening eight minutes and totaled 10 boards by halftime. 
  • Freshman Max Breitenbach returned from a two-week injury absence and quickly tallied a rebound, assist, and steal within his first minute on the court.
