Jordan Kington has been added to the Marian University men’s and women’s volleyball coaching staffs as an assistant coach, as announced by Head Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Coach Tyler Wills.
“I am very excited to be adding Jordan to our men’s and women’s volleyball families,” said Wills. “She brings a fresh perspective and an eager passion to learn, grow, and expand the game. This will be contagious amongst our student-athletes and I am looking forward to navigating the seasons alongside her. Jordan will be such an asset to our volleyball programs, campus, and future student-athletes.”
Kington becomes a Sabre after serving as a club volleyball coach with the Permian Basin Elite Volleyball Club. While with PBEVC, she was primarily tasked with the development and evaluation of student-athletes. With that knowledge, she orchestrated strategic planning to aid the program in being successful. She was also the primary coach for the 13U program with PBEVC.
“First and foremost I want to thank Tony Draves and Tyler Wills for giving me this opportunity to grow in my coaching career,” said Kington. “I am so excited to be a part of this athletic staff and community. Go Sabres!”
Her playing career saw Kington serve as a defensive specialist and libero at Western Texas College, a National Junior College Athletic Association institution, and Sul Ross State University of NCAA DIII. In her lone season at WTC, she played in 97 sets over 33 matches recording 198 digs with a 2.04 digs per set average. At the service line, she ranked second on the team with her 29 service aces.
Kington earned an associate degree for business administration in 2018 from Western Texas College. She then earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Sul Ross State University in 2020.
