King selected to All-NACC Second Team

Marian University women’s basketball senior Chelsea King was named to the NACC Second Team All-Conference to close her career.

King (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) earns All-Conference honors for the second time in her career after receiving Honorable Mention recognition in 2023-24. She led the Sabres in scoring with 12.6 points per game across 24 contests and ranked fifth in the NACC with 44 made three-pointers, the highest single-season total of her career. King added 101 rebounds, for a 4.2 per game average, and 49 steals. She recorded 17 double-figure scoring games including four performances of 20 or more points. King posted a career-high six steals against Maranatha Baptist during a seven-game stretch with at least two steals in every contest. Her season-high of 25 points came in a win against Illinois Tech at home.  She knocked down a career-best five three-pointers in a win over Concordia Chicago finishing that win with 19 points, seven rebounds, and three steals. Marian closed the season winning two of its final three games, with King averaging 18.6 points and 3.3 steals during that stretch.

King concludes her career ranked 11th on Marian’s all-time scoring list with 1,145 points. King also ranks eighth in three-pointers made (116), ninth in games started (86), and 10th in field goals made (417) in program history.
